Description | This collection contains Nadëb language materials. Nadëb belongs to the Naduhup language family and has about 500 speakers. Most of these materials were recorded in Roçado community, Uneiuxi River, Amazonas, Brazil. This work has been funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities (www.neh.gov)/ Documenting Endangered Languages program, award PD-266994-19: ‘Documentation of Nadëb (mbj), a Naduhup language of Brazil’ (2019-2022), and by the University of Texas at Austin / LLILAS-Benson Brazil Center, UT-FAPESP award: 'Language Contact and Change in the Upper Rio Negro' (2018).
