DescriptionThere are a total of 18 boxes, each containing file slips as well as some loose notebook sheets. In each of these boxes, the file slips and sheets are divided into "STACKS" by rubber bands and grouped into "CLIPS" by paper clips. Throughout the scanning process, these "CLIPS” of file slips are marked by an index card placed in front of them with their corresponding CLIP # (in roman numerals) written on it. For example: In BOX 1, within STACK 1, there can be file slips that are split into five "CLIPS” of file slips. So, in front of the first “CLIP” of file slips there will be a CLIP 1 index card, then before the second “CLIP” of file slips there will be a CLIP 2 index card, and so on. Within these "CLIPS” of file slips there can also be other "CLIPS,” that is to say a paper clip within a paper clip. These are marked with a SUBCLIP # index card in the same process as the CLIP # index cards that was explained earlier. The order of the boxes is as follows:

BOX 1 of 18: Kinship, Names, Sickness
BOX 2 of 18: Nahuatl Plants
BOX 3 of 18: Spanish Loans
BOX 4 of 18: Herbs and Vines
BOX 5 of 18: Trees
BOX 6 of 18: Bugs, Animal Sounds
BOX 7 of 18: Nahuatl Animals
BOX 8 of 18: ..A:WAK Symbolic
BOX 9 of 18: A-H
BOX 10 of 18: I
BOX 11 of 18: K
BOX 12 of 18: KW-L, Y
BOX 13 of 18: M
BOX 14 of 18: N, O, R, RR, S
BOX 15 of 18: P
BOX 16 of 18: T
BOX 17 of 18: TL, TZ
BOX 18 of 18: W, X

Note: Within some of the "STACKS", there are some file slips that were not in “CLIPS,” that is to say they were loose. These are marked with a space before them so as to make it clear that those were not in the same “CLIP” with the file slips in front of (or behind them). These loose file slips can be found within (or outside) “CLIPS” and/or “STACKS".
