| Description | This recording documents an interview with Don Domingo Silvano Cruz. Sr. Silvano relateees how he began to make maya figures: his brother found the figure of a doll, from that he got the idea of making one of his own creation, other people followed him, including his brother, who in this interview describes the cases already mentioned. Nearly at the end of the conversation with Sr. Silvano and Pedro López (project member), Sr. Silvano finishes making a maya figure, which according to his discussion, the people, principally teachers, will pay one hundred or a hundred and fifty pesos for. 1. Sr. Silvano is interviewed about his life, about the origin of the name of the place and about the sculpture that he is making. 2. Sr. Silvano is talking and demonstrating the process of making the stone figures. 3. Sr. Silvano continues talking and demonstrating the process of making the stone maya figures. |
